2023: Akure Asiwaju Ndigbo, Chief Umenweke attends Abuja Peace meeting, predicts hitch-free elections

A large number of Presidential Candidates, Inspector General of Police Uthman Baba,National Chairmen of 18 registered political parties, Very Respected Traditional Rulers ranging from the Sultan of Sokoto, Chairman Dangote Group of Companies Alhaji Aliko Dangote, Chief Otedola, High Chief Dr Titus Umenweke (The Asiwaju Ndigbo of Akure Kingdom), among many senior Citizens of Nigeria converged at the International Conference Centre Abuja today 29th September,2022 for 1st Signing of National Peace Accord ahead of the February 2023 General Elections.

The Peace Accord which was organized by the National Peace Committee (NPC)headed by the Former head of State General Abdulsaalami Abubarka and Bishop Matthew Hassan Kukah witnessed a huge success today in Abuja the Nation’s Capital.

One of the Major stakeholders and the Chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission INEC, Professor Mahmud Yakubu applauded the bold steps and involvement of the NPC in ensuring peaceful conduct of the 2023 general elections.

Similarly, the Inspector General of Police Uthman Baba,who spoke at the event gave security assurance to the General Public as well as international Community on the stand of security agencies to uphold a level plan ground to all parties in accordance to the law of the land.

However, Dr. Titus Umenweke said Nigeria will experience a peaceful Election come 2023.

High Chief Umenweke while speaking with newsmen during the event echoed his voice by advising Nigerians most significantly the electorate on the need to open their eyes vividly while voting for their choice of candidates on the day of the elections.
