To whomsoever it may concern,
We have been inundated with calls from across Akoko North East Local Government and beyond.
This is not unconnected to a peice circulating on social media that the Legislative Arms of the local government endorsed a supposed aspirant for the House of Representatives, Mr Sikiru Gbongbo.
We consider this an affront on the personalty of the councillors as well as the Legislative Arms as an institution.
It’s also important to reiterate, for the umpteenth time, that we can never go in a contrary direction of the majority of leaders, elders and stakeholders in the local government.
There’s no other direction than the one the entire people have considered their personal project — the re-election of Hon. Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo whom everyone has acknowledged has done so well in facilitating development to not just our local government but the Federal Constituency.
The entire councillors under my leadership are solidly behind our ever performing BTO second term agenda.
