House of Representatives Bye Election- Major Reason For My Withdrawal – Jimoh (J.O.T)

Ahead of the House of Representatives bye- election slated for February 26, one of the aspirant, Jimoh Oluwatosin popularly known as J.O.T has announced his intention to withdraw from the House of Representatives bye election.

His decision to withdraw from the race followed extensive discussions with Mr Governor, Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu, critical stakeholders, party stalwarts and members of the All Progressives Congress in Akure South.

In a statement personally signed by him, Jimoh said, he was withdrawing from the Reps race to contest the Ondo State House of Assembly seat in 2023.

‘After a deep thought and extensive consultations, i have decided to formally declare my intention to represent the good people of Akure South Constituency 1 at the House of Assembly’, he said.

‘My focus in politics will be to ensure that government institutions work and for our teeming communities to benefit from social services irrespective of class or social status’.

He lauded the efforts of his campaign team and media team for their unalloyed support. “The job to take our state constituency is a task that must be done.

“I appeal to you that the will of God will prevail now and in the future.”
