Dangote Staff shot dead in Ondo by Kidnapper

Despite various security efforts of police and other sister agencies coupled with local vigilante groups in combing forests in Ajowa and Akunnu axis in Akoko area of Ondo State, some kidnappers still struck on Sunday when a 49 year-old father of four children, ‘Engineer’ Abayomi Olukoju was gunned down along Ifefe road between Ajowa and Akunnu Akoko.

The source disclosed to SUNSHINETRUTH that the deceased was killed by the bandits after he tried to escape from the scene of the kidnapping, very close to a spot where the popular Abuja-Ajowa bound driver Toyin Mallah was killed recently on his way from Abuja.

The victim who is a Contract Staff with Dangote Group of Companies (Cement factory at Obajana in Kogi state) was on his way to his work place from Ajowa, on his new motorbike when the incident happened.

It was those coming from Abuja that discovered his lifeless body in his pools of blood which was later reported to the police around the area.

Report says Ajowa community is in pensive mood because of the untimely deaths of the Late driver and Abayomi Olukoju, even it was gathered that the kidnappers escaped to a village in Kogi.

A community spokesman, Mr Soji Ogedengbe disclosed that Ajowa community has done much in the area of security through communal and self help efforts.

Ogedengbe called on Police and Amotekun to deploy more personel to Ajowa Akoko being a border town to kogi state.

When contacted the police area Commander in charge of Akoko North, ACP Muri Agboola and Okeagbe Divisional Police Officer, Supretendent Of Police, Paulinus Onnah confirmed the incident.
