New Ondo NUJ Excos tested & trusted —Governor’s SA, Olamide Falana


The Special Adviser to the Governor of Ondo State on Gender, Hon Mrs Olamide Falana has congratulated Leke Adegbite on his emergence as the Chairman of Ondo State chapter, Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ).

Hon. Mrs Falana who described the Leke Adegbite led executive as a tested and trusted team urged the them to perform their duties as the Fourth Estate of the Realm in the society while charging them to do more in true Journalism.

It would be recalled that Ondo council of NUJ conducted a peaceful election transiting the leadership of the union to Leke Adegbite as Chairman, Hakeem Gbadamosi as Vice Chairman, Ngozi Aduloju as Ass. Secretary, Fatima Muraina as Treasurer among others.

She implored the team to continually collaborate with Gender office and OSAA-GBV in combating Gender based violence in the society in other to provide a voice for victims.

However, the Governor’s aide while reacting to the news of the death of Osinachi Nwachukwu, a famous Nigerian gospel musician who allegedly died of domestic violence, noted that victims of any form of violence should be offered a platform to speak out. She advised women and even men in such relationships to seek help and justice when they are still alive to avoid needless loss of lives.
