Ondo APC Ward Congress Committee yet to resolve ‘manipulated’ Ifedore list —leaders

…….IFEDORE LOCAL GOVERNMENT LEADERS REJECT ISIAKA CLAIMS

Members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ifedore local government area of Ondo State on Wednesday rejected the claims of the Chairman of state ward congress committee, Mr Isiaka Gboyega.

There was a protest by members and leaders of APC from Ifedore local government area of the state on yesterday alleging manipulation of their agreed list of wards Executives.

The Speaker of the state Assembly, Bamidele Oleyelogun who addressed the protested Ifedore APC members, promised that Governor Oluwatotimi Akeredolu and party’s leadership would resolve the outstanding issues.

But the committee chairman, Prince Gboyega Isiaka, while addressing a press conference at the party’s secretariat along Oba Adesida road, Akure, expressed his happiness at the way the ward congress in Ondo state  went well in most wards except in few wards which had been resolved.

Mr Isiaka was quoted to have said “There are few skirmishes in few places which have been resolved in the last 24 hours. It’s less than five per cent of the entire 203 wards that we have, because it’s just one or two local council areas and like I said, they have been resolved.”

However reacting, Ifedore APC leaders nothing had been resolved in the area, one of the said, “this is far from the truth as there was know anywhere the two groups in the local harmonize or agreed on any list across the 10 wards in the local government.”

One of the chieftains of the party who spoke on behalf other leaders, Hon. Adebusuyi Idowu said Mr Isiaka collected two separate lists from the two major groups and was compelled to authenticate only one group list by the State acting Chairman, Mr Ade Adetimehin and all efforts to make him bring the two groups together to harmonize the lists proof abortive.

“Mr Isiaka lied, he didn’t resolve anything in Ifedore, he only danced to the tone of the State Acting Chairman”
He said they are ready to approach the court of law if the abnormalities during the ward congress in Ifedore is not corrected on time,” said Adebusuyi who is a former state Assembly Chief Whip and ex-Chairman.

Reacting, Hon. Ade Adetimehin had on Monday dismissed the allegation, noting that there was nothing like manipulation of the ward exco list in Ifedore.

“There’s no crisis in the APC. This is a rancour free congress. Everyone has been praising us for the Congress. We are the best in the whole of the country. We have been receiving commendations on the Congress. Ignore them,” Adetimehin said.
