The Chairman Ondo SITA and House of Representative Aspirant Ondo East and West, Mr Olumbe Akinkugbe has renovated the market and reconstructed the road in Bagbe in Ondo. The renovated market had been abandoned for several years and several promises by previous representatives to renovate it were never fulfilled.
Expressing gratitude for the newly renovated market and road, the Iyaloja of the market said “we are very grateful for Olumbe’s kind gesture. Not just we the women who trade but the entire community, because we have to walk several kilometers for us to sell our produce which greatly affected us. But now that our market and road has been renovated, we are certain that our businesses will pick up.”
Reacting to journalists who covered the reopening of the market, Olumbe said “I could not stand seeing our women travel several miles to sell their farm produce when there was a place that could be renovated for them. After my last visit to this community for a media outreach to persons living in this community, I promised that I would do all it takes to see that their market is renovated and that their road is also reconstructed. I am glad that I am able to keep to this promise.”
Additionally, the Iyaloja made several prayers for Olumbe and assured him of their support in achieving his political ambition.
