Exclusive: WHY AKURE PEOPLE ARE BEING SHORTCHANGED —New Prime Minister

……. Recently sometimes in May, 2021, the Deji and Paramount Ruler of Akure Kingdom, His Imperial Majesty Oba Aladetoyinbo Aladelusi Ogunlade installed Senior High Chief Oluwafemi Sunday Olubodun as (the Prime Minister) Olisa of Akure Kingdom. The new Olisa speaks on sundry issues about himself, Akure and her people in this Special Interview with SUNSHINETRUTH News Magazine.

Can we meet you sir?

My names are Senior High Chief Sunday Oluwafemi Olubodun, the Olisa (Prime Minister) of Akure kingdom.

How old are you sir?

I was born over 60years ago.

What were you doing before the Deji of Akure installed you as the Olisa of Akure Kingdom?

Before I left Nigeria about fifty years ago, I worked at Nigerian National Supply as a Senior marketing officer. When I left for abroad, I attended a University outside the country, where I graduated, I established a company there, I employed many people, not only Akure indigenes because I don’t discriminate, I employed many Nigerians in my company till now and it is progressing.

What prompted you to take up the Olisa chieftancy title even as a successful Businessman?

What prompted me was because the chieftancy title is my father’s stool and I must not let it go into extinction from my family. Also, I wish to work for Akure, I have seen it as an opportunity for me to work for Akure people, so that I can empower more youths.

I am there to serve my people. I once contested for the position of a member of the House of Assembly and that of the Chairman of Akure South local government about two or three times but i was stopped through manipulation.

God encouraged me to fight on that where is taking me to is greater. See today, He has placed me in this exalted position of my forefathers. He has brought me to this place and it is time for me to serve my people.

What are your perceptions about Akure and her Indigenes?
