Wife’s death: My aide, Akin Olotu gave his best for her to live —Akeredolu

……VISITS AIDE, OLOTU, SYMPATHIZES WITH HIM OVER WIFE’S DEATH

Ondo State Governor, Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu, SAN, has commiserated with his Senior Special Assistant on Agric and Agric Business, Pastor Akin Olotu, over the death of his wife, Oluwayemisi Olotu.

While condoling with Pastor Olotu, Governor Akeredolu described the death of his wife as a great loss.

The Governor, who spoke during a condolence visit, said Olotu gave his best to rescue his wife from the cold hand of death.

Governor Akeredolu was accompanied to the residence of Olotu by the acting Chairman of the All Progressive Congress in the state, Engr. Ade Adetimehin; Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice, Sir Charles Titiloye; Commissioner for Information and Orientation, Mr Donald Ojogo; and the Special Adviser to the Governor on Union Matters and Special Duties, Mr Dare Aragbaiye.

Arakunrin Akeredolu urged members of the family to take solace in the fact that the deceased knew the Prince of Peace while she was alive.

The Governor prayed that the good Lord will give Pastor Olotu and the children the fortitude to bear the irreplaceable loss.

He said:”I am short of words because I knew the beginning of this struggle and how you had to take your late wife to Indian.

“You gave the best for her to live. I want to tell you that you have given your best. Nobody can do better. She was a lady of strong faith.

“One thing is so certain, it is not easy to ask you to bring out drum and celebrate. But one thing that keeps coming, I remember I have said it in few places, is that only God gives life and only He takes it.

“You are a pastor, you are stronger in faith than most of us. I am not saying don’t cry. But no amount of cry will bring her back. She is gone. Take satisfaction in the fact that she was a mother, wife and prayer partner.

“Clearly, she accepted the Prince of peace while she was here. What other joy do you have than to have the peace of mind that she is resting in peace. Why don’t you just take that consolation that she is now resting in peace.

“Only God knows the time. He gives and takes. We will just praise his name. For everybody that she has left behind, may the good Lord give you the fortitude to bear the loss. I know it is not easy. It is a great loss.

“We are here to pay our condolences and assure you that we are here for you. Accept my heartfelt sympathy. May the Lord uphold all she left behind. May the Lord put an end to all these evil.

Responding, Pastor Olotu appreciated the Governor for his support, saying he has been there since the beginning of the struggle.
